Mads
Mads was born and raised in Australia and moved to Manchester in 2013 to study the violin at the Royal Northern College of Music. After graduating she performed internationally as a professional freelance violinist and bought Sass in 2018, a shaded red Miniature Dachshund who unknowingly quickly made her trade in the violin and stage for dogs and walking boots. That love for Dachshunds quickly grew into a small family of five: Sass, Pepe, Olive, Roo and Fig, who you can follow on Instagram @dashofsausage, where Mads shares their adventures, training tips and her dog ownership journey with over 250,000 followers.
Dash Dog Walking was founded in February 2020 and has since taken hundreds of dogs on off lead adventures across beautiful locations throughout Manchester and beyond.
“I started the Dash pack because I wanted to give dogs 'weekend walks' every day of the week which is where the Dash experience started. Everything we do comes back to that: the locations we choose, the way we walk, the people we hire and the standards and safety measures we hold ourselves to in an unregulated industry.
I am a firm believer in neutral socialisation and giving dogs the space and freedom to co-exist peacefully amongst one another. Over the years we have developed our methods and systems that has given so many dogs confidence, structure and the skills to be more neutral and happy out and about. Dogs deserve the best and to simply be 'dogs' and that's what we're here to provide.”
